The Saginaw Art Museum will host the Tri-City Art Battle where 25 artists have three hours to complete an original piece of work for cash prizes. Winners will be determined by audience vote.
Set up begins at 4pm. The battle is from 5-8pm. All artwork must be created on the spot. Prefabrications are not allowed. Artists must supply their own materials. The audience will be in close proximity to working artists so no toxic fumes, including spray paint are allowed. Please bring an easel or a table if you require one. Artists are responsible for clean up. This is a leave no trace zone. Artist will be held responsible for any damage to the premises. The artist’s space is approximately 6’ x 6’ and will be marked. If you need electricity, please let us know in advance. Collaborations are welcome; this does not change the registration fee (one fee per workspace), workspace size or the prizes awarded.
All artwork created is available through silent auction at the end of the evening. Artists can bring one additional piece of art for silent auction. Artists will receive 70% of sales. The remaining proceeds support programs and exhibitions at the Saginaw Art Museum and Court Street Gallery.
Artists are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis upon receipt of payment. Registration form and credit card payment are accepted online, by mail, phone or in-person. Museum Hours: Thursday to Saturday from 10 - 5 pm and Sunday from 1-5 pm.
