Crawford Weather beaten typographies VISUAL TRUTHS: The Art of Randal Crawford

Randal Crawford strives to master new techniques within a wide range of media including drawing, weaving, ceramics, wood carving, and digital imaging. This exhibition will feature contemporary and new work by this practicing studio artist and Professor of Art at Delta College. Visit the the artist's website to learn more.

WEATHER-BEATEN TYPOGRAPHIES, 2008-2010, carved wood, beeswax

Crawford's artistic explorations reflect personal investigations into nature's forces encountered on his travels. One visual journey begins with these wood sculptures which are scored to show rivers and streams gutting the landscape and hills & knolls swelling above the earth. Warm tones and color plays an integral role in emphasizing particular landscapes within the wood sculptures as well.
