 SAGINAW ART MUSEUM GARDEN ASSISTANTS

The Museum is looking for garden ”weeders” to work 20 hours a week starting in May/June. Tasks would include assisting in maintaining the historic gardens at the Saginaw Art Museum under the direction of a lead gardener. The hours are highly flexible.

ART FOR ALL PROGRAM MANAGER

 

The Saginaw Art Museum will soon introduce the Art for All program, designed to make visual arts and arts education more easily accessible to all members of our community. The museum is looking for a part-time (20-hour per week) Art for All Program Manager to lead the implementation and execution of the program. Primary responsibilities:

  • Working with local schools to promote the program with educators and students.
    • Phase One of the program will focus on K-12 students
  • Develop a summer weekly art education program for the Saginaw Art Museum.
  • Help develop and manage grade-appropriate school field trips to the museum.
  • Develop communication associated with the Arts for All Program.

Hours are somewhat flexible and the successful candidate will get to work in the beautiful environment of the Saginaw Art Museum and make a difference in our community.

LEAD GARDENER

Full or part-time role from April through October. Responsible for all aspects of managing and caring for the historic gardens at the Saginaw Art Museum and working closely with the garden leadership team and volunteers. Candidates with a demonstrated gardening background and/or master gardener certification are preferred.
