Come make art with artist, Lark Allen! He will teach you how to make mono prints, a unique form of printmaking. Experiment with color and line to create cool designs and learn a new way to use art materials. This activity is adaptable to all ages and abilities, so everyone is welcome. Drop in anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 PM to make your very own mono print!

Lark Allen III is a mixed-media artist based in Saginaw, Michigan. A graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art, Allen recieved an M.F.A. in Print Media in 2014. Born in Elberton, Georgia, his decision to pursue art as a career began in his early 30’s after enrolling in an introductory sculpture course at Georgia Perimeter College. After graduating from Perimeter College with a A.A. degree, Allen completed B.A. studies at Clark Atlanta University, where he exhibited his work through the Mid-South Sculpture Alliance, and was recognized throughout the southeastern United States region. He is currently an Adjunct Art Instructor at Saginaw Valley
State University and Delta College in University Center, Michigan. His work can be found in the permanent collection at the Cranbrook Art Museum, and he has most recently exhibited in solo and group shows at The Saginaw Art Museum (2022), and Anderson Enrichment Center, Saginaw, Michigan (2023).
Lark Allen is nondiscriminatory when working with materials, and actively engages in various forms of drawing, sculpture, painting, and printmaking. Mr. Allen is an active proponent of health and well-being within communities, and attempts to reveal this advocacy through his artwork. He actively supports local area organizations with similar interests such as Saginaw Community Mental
Health, Bodies by Ron, and Do Art Gallery in Bay City Michigan, where he formerly served as an art instructor.
