Title:  Finding Courage in Playing with Art and Expression

Date/Time: April 1, 2023 1-4pm

Description:  This art class will first go over the importance of courage when it comes to creating art. Through simple exercises students will then be encouraged to play with different mediums to understand how experimenting can lead to a stronger understanding of their artistic tools. Lastly, they will go over the importance of reflection and learn about how creating art work can help them understand their emotions and express them.  WEAR CLOTHING THAT CAN GET MESSY!

Facilitator: Carolina Donoso

Facilitator Bio:
Carolina Belinelli Donoso is a Brazilian American multimedia artist, whose artwork seeks to explore the question of “what makes a human experience?”.  Carolina believes that art creates change when it is used as a tool for personal observation. In leading interactive art experiences she poses questions that spark reflection encouraging people to express their truths.
