Dia de los Muertos – Ofrenda Application 2025

The Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens will be hosting a Dia De Los Muertos celebration again this year. Like in years past, we will be showcasing ofrendas arranged by community members in the museum.

Please review the guidelines and timeline for the event below as you consider your participation!

If you are part of the same ofrenda, please submit only ONE application.

Friday, October 31: Set up between 9:30am-4:30pm
Saturday, November 1: Opening Day 1:00-4:00pm, Ofrenda participants preferably attend the event and engage with event attendees. You are also encouraged to include any information about your altar via print out/small poster/labels so people can learn about your ofrenda. If you can’t set-up on October 31, you can also set-up Saturday morning from 9:30am-12pm.
Wednesday, Nov. 5-Nov. 8: Regular Museum hours, Ofrendas stay on display, museum will be free.
Monday, November 10: Remove all materials associated with the ofrendas between 9:30am-4:30pm.

Ofrenda participants will be chosen on a lottery system due to space available. Applications will close October 6, and you will be notified by October 10 f you have been selected. If you have not been selected, a Community Altar will be available for you to add to.
