The course is packed with practical tips that will improve your sports pictures immediately. While it does not center on gear, the class discusses configuring your camera for optimal results. Prerequisites: An interchangeable lens camera, and 30 minutes of pre-reading/watching that you will receive 1-2 weeks before the course. About the instructor: From professional baseball cards to highway billboards, Mike Kolleth has been making impactful sports pictures for amateur, college, and professional teams for decades. He is also the President and CEO of the Saginaw Art Museum and Temple Theatre, making him uniquely qualified to teach a course entitled, The Art of Sports Photography. Photo Walk with Thor Rasmussen Saturday, October 26 10:00-11:30 AM Taking a walk with your camera lets you slow down and observe space in a new way. Rather than zipping down the street in your car, walking a block gives you the opportunity to pause and compose images you might have missed before. During this photo walk, participants will meet up in Downtown Saginaw MI and go for a walk before meeting back at the museum to share the images they just took straight out of the camera. It will give you an opportunity to practice not just taking photographs, but thinking about how you talk about your photographs. About the Instructor: Thor is a professional photographer among other things with a special interest in documenting people and special events. His work has been exhibited in galleries locally in his hometown of Saginaw and across the United States. His observation of the word comes from well over 100 photo walks in the past two years. Registration closes: October 22, 2024 or when full We do not give refunds for the above classes. |
