FAQ:
Can I bring my own chair?
Yes! We will have some chairs set up in the garden, but if you have your own special chair for the garden you are welcome to bring it. We request chairs stay out of the museum galleries to avoid the risk of accidental damage of art works.

Will there be food and drink?
We will have a bar set up providing beverages including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We respectfully request there be no outside food or alcoholic beverages brought to the event.

Can I request a group for next year?
By all means! We are happy to consider musical acts that may be a good fit for the series.

How can I help ensure the Museum Tunes concert series continues to be a success?
There are two big ways you can help. 1. Tell a friend and/or bring a friend. Introduce the museum to those in your circles. 2. Donate: Even small donations are helpful as they add up to help cover costs associated with the museum expenses. You can make your donation when you register!

Amy Petty
wsg Major Chords For Minors

Amy Petty is a classically trained singer whose heart beats Rock and Roll.

Amy began her career in opera, singing with the Michigan Opera Theater, Meadowbrook Theater and symphonies across the state. She began writing her own brand of rock-infused folk when she realized she wanted to do more than perform…she wanted to create.

With three critically acclaimed albums of original music under her belt, Amy has made a name for herself as a force, musically and vocally. Known across the country for her powerful vocals, she has sang her original songs everywhere from Carnegie Hall in NYC to small house concerts in Seattle.

Amy fronts The Amy Petty Band (featuring Michael Robertson on guitar, Joe Balbaugh on bass, and Donny Brown on drums), leads vocals in the Flint-based Woodstock-era rock band Itchycoo Park, and shares the spotlight with Classic Women of Country alongside Lora Dale, Laurie Spear, and a crew of Mid-Michigan’s top musicians.

Oliva Dear
wsg Clover Club
Olivia Dear (formerly Olivia Millerschin) captivates audiences with her celestial voice, wrapping them in a gossamer blend of modern pop and folk songwriting. Hailing from Detroit, Dear has won two John Lennon Songwriting Awards, the Great American Song Contest, and could recently be heard singing at 2018 Olympics for U.S. Ice Dancers, Madison Chock and Evan Bates. After years of touring and releasing music, Dear explains the name change: “When I started writing and releasing original music, I was 14-years-old and, naturally, I used my family name. Even then, I knew ‘Millerschin’ was A LOT, but it never occurred to me that I could or should go by any other name. In 2020, I was given the funding and time to start again, say what I mean, and create the music i’ve always wanted to. The new title originates from my Grandma, who has greeted me as ‘Olivia Dear’ since birth.”
