Featuring works from her most recent collections, Corrin Grooms: Sculptures & Paintings showcases both abstract paintings and realistic sculptures in her first solo exhibition. In the collection titled, “Bothered”, Grooms explores how her experiences as a Black Woman living in America shaped her mental health.
While the human form is the inspiration behind her sculptural works, her abstract paintings focus on the idea of movement within space. Within Groom’s painting series Fluidity, she uses this ideology to combine the movement of air with richness of color. This in turn, creates both powerful and mesmerizing images.
