The Saginaw Art Museum will host the Michigan Art Education Association (MAEA) Region 11 Student Art Exhibition beginning February 1 through February 16. Works from students in grades K-12 will be on display at the museum during regular operating hours and at the WNEM After Hours on February 7 6-8pm. Students will be presented with awards at the closing reception February 16 from 2-4pm.
The MAEA Region 11 includes Gratiot, Huron, Sanilac, Tuscola, and Saginaw County. More than 100 works were selected for the exhibition by educators based on the nature of each work and a written learning statement. Works include both two- and three-dimensional pieces in traditional and non-traditional media.
