Title: New Bardic Practices
Submitted by: cbxtn the fig
During quarantine, I’ve been practicing bardic magic. The epics of the olden days were good for the olden days – However, we are entering a new world that demands a new canon of epic poetry and bardic practice. I’ve chosen Sylvia Legris’ exquisite ten part poem “The Garden Body: A Florilegium” about flowers and their relationship to the body and the stars as my jumping board into long-form poetry. Next, I hope to commit Howl by Allen Ginsberg to memory as a bardic song.
