Zoom Series

This series is called ‘Zoom’ and documents the virtual lives of isolation during COVID-19. Due to social distancing and stay-at-home laws in New York City, as a street photographer documenting life is no longer the same as it once was. I needed to find a way to push the boundaries of photography and storytelling in a modern yet virtual fashion. As the world connected with one another online, I used Zoom to connect with people I once knew, hardly knew and some I never met. The results are seen in the connection and hardships I managed to photograph while documenting the most intimate moments of their lives. Almost all of the photos are black and white to remove the everyday beauty of those who can see color as life slowly returns to a new normal.
